4 Day Cape Town Tour

Renowned as one if the most beautiful cities in the world-Cape Town has it all.As the meeting point of many cultures,Cape Town is dotted with mosques,churches,synagogues,temples.It’s geographic position at the tip of Africa has made it the most visited city and a bucket list destination to many travelers.Cape Town promises an abundance of flora,rich Dutch history,famous wines,beautiful view of he city from the Table mountain,and rich South African history at the Robben Island.

Be sure of a week mixed with activities,relaxation,and massive info and beauty.

Day One

CAPE PENINSULA TOUR

Take off at O.R Tambo International on a 2hr flight to Cape Town.A warm welcome by your Cape Town guide.Drive through Inyanga township,with your guide taking narrating the history Cape Town and it’s different settlements.Actually your tour starts right away.Chek in at the Park Inn Radisson or Protea Hotel,relax,have some drinks and be ready for the rest of the day’s tour.This day’s tour is meant to calm and relax you since you’ve just landed and still getting the feel of this beautiful city.

Your guide then takes you for a Cape Peninsula tour.  Explore the stunning coastline of South Africa.  Cape Peninsula is the most spectacular routes you can experience,where the Indian and Atlantic oceans meet. Tour will take you past the Clifton beaches & Camps Bay, Twelve Apostles-then to the Bay Harbor through to the Chapman’s Peak Drive.  Finally arrive at the Cape of Good Hope and gaze over the meetings of the Atlantic and Indian oceans.  Then drive back to Cape Town via False Bay.

Day Two

CITY TOUR

Start your day at the city’s oldest buildings- The Castle of Good Hope-built as a fortress by the first white settlers-the Dutch.Your next destination is the Government avenue-lined with historic institutions such as De Tuinhuis,Cape Residence of the President,and the South African museum.Here you learn about the first known habitats of Cape Town-KhoiKhoi and the San.  Still on the city’s history tour-hop onto to District Six Museum on Buitekant Street-here you get to learn about the forced removal of a vibrant race community.  En route is the City Hall, St George’s Cathedral.

Head on to the highlight of your city tour-Robben Island.  Once a leper colony,a mental hospital,a defence training base,this site was home to most of South Africa’s freedom fighters.  This is a bittersweet experience as you relive the harsh conditions that the prisoners had to endure.  Catch a ferry ride to the Island with a standard tour starting at the Nelson Mandela Gateway.  The tours are led by former political prisoners-you can therefore be assured of an informative,immersive experience.  This tour will never fail to humble you and give you perspective.

End your day with shopping,food and city life at the V&A Waterfront.  The waterfront is Cape Town’s lucrative trading post-complete with an array of entertainment venues,shops,restaurants etc.  Enjoy a wide range of scrumptious cuisine & traditional South African meals and your day on a boat trip around the harbor (own cost).

Day Three

TABLE MOUNTAIN & BOTANICAL GARDENS

South Africa’s famous landmark is where you spend your day today.The mountain contains truly unique fauna & flora and stretches from Signal Hill to the Cape Point.Enjoy walking trails,a cable ride to see the view from the top.Visit the Boulders-Penguin watching(seasonal),then off to Kisternbosch National Botanical Garden with over 7000 plant species.  At the fragrance garden you’ll be exposed to familiar and unfamiliar smells,while the medicinal garden will fascinate you with some of the diverse medicinal plants found in South Africa.  The garden is also home to many birds & animals.  Enjoy stunning views on a canopy walkway(bridge)discreetly located in the tree tops of this garden.

End your day with lunch and shopping at the table top restaurant and curio shop.

Day 4

THE WINELANDS

Visit the famous Cape Winelands.  Your Cape Town visit wouldn’t be complete without spoiling yourself with our homegrown famous wines.We take you South Africa’s gourmet capital-Franschoek.  Along the route,there are 43 active winerires.  Each one promising a superb local produce,a willingness to experiment and the desire to provide world class gastronomic experiences.  Here you either walk through the vineyards or you enjoy your wine tour on horseback.

En route you enjoy beautiful scenery & stops to the Paarl Nature Reserves, Paarl Valley Golf Estate, Franschoek Motor Museum,and the nearby Paarl and Stellenbosch wine routes.We then take you to a tour of Mooiwater township and see French architecture.  Franschoek is mostly known for it’s local produce-so indulge and spoil yourself with fresh salmon,trout,cheeses,chocolates,olives and of course the food & wine synergy seasoned with award winning chefs,served with French flair. Wine tasting-varies (own cost)

Since it’ll be your last day in the city you can either end your day with some more shopping in the city or with a relaxing beach visit at Camps Bay or Clifton.
